L’ONU lance la décennie mondiale de l’océan ! Pour l’occasion, la COI organise un événement en ligne intitulé “la jeunesse en action pour lutter contre la pollution marine”.
Avec, par et pour les jeunes
Les jeunes seront au cœur de cette rencontre. Plusieurs d’entre eux, des Seychelles, de Maurice, de Madagascar ou encore de La Réunion, présenteront leurs initiatives pour réduire et prévenir la pollution marine.
L’océan, c’est un écosystème partagé, indispensable à l’équilibre du monde. La COP26 a été, entre autres, l’occasion de rappeler qu’il est un puits carbone et une source d’oxygène à préserver. Mais c’est aussi un écosystème dont dépendent des millions d’individus pour leur sécurité alimentaire et nutritionnelle. L’océan occupe aussi un place prépondérante dans l’économie mondiale. Alors, pourquoi le considérer comme une poubelle ? Surtout, comment combattre la pollution en mer ? Et si ça commençait aussi sur terre ?

The UN launches the World Ocean Decade! To mark the occasion, the IOC is organising an online event entitled “Youth in Action to Combat Marine Pollution”.
With, by and for youth
Young people will be at the heart of this event. Several young people from the Seychelles, Mauritius, Madagascar and Reunion Island will present their initiatives to reduce and prevent marine pollution.
The ocean is a shared ecosystem, essential to the balance of the world. The COP26 was, among other things, an opportunity to recall that it is a carbon sink and a source of oxygen to be preserved. But it is also an ecosystem on which millions of people depend for their food and nutritional security. The ocean also plays a major role in the world economy. So why should it be considered a waste bin? Above all, how can we combat pollution at sea? And what if it also started on land?
