DESCRIPTION:Il y a 40 ans\, les membres fondateurs de la COI ont signé l’Accord général de coopération\, dit « Accord de Victoria ». Cet Accord a institutionnalisé la COI. \nA l’occasion de ce 40ème anniversaire\, le Secrétariat général de la COI organise à Maurice une soirée de gala avec les représentants des Etats membres\, des partenaires et observateurs\, du corps diplomatique et les agents de la COI. Cette soirée sera l’occasion de dévoilements\, notamment du logo des 40 ans qui a donné lieu à un concours régional. \nLe ministère seychelloise des Affaires étrangères organisera également une série d’activités aux Seychelles\, dont l’inauguration du Jardin de la COI à Roche Caïman\, levé de drapeaux des Etats membres et de la COI\, interventions dans les médias. \nLe 10 janvier marquera le lancement d’activités dans les Etats membres tout au long de l’année 2024.

DESCRIPTION:Due to the maritime security situation developing in the Red Sea\, Gulf of Aden and Western Indian Ocean a number of Member States have requested an urgent meeting of the CGIMA. This Concept Note outlines a provisional agenda for the proposed meeting.\nObjectives of the CGIMA. The CGPCS was created in 2009 following a UN resolution to coordinate political\, military\, industry and non-governmental efforts to end piracy along the Somali coast. The Contact Group has over 80 member organizations\, drawn from governments\, NGOs and shipping companies. In 2022 (CGPCS) agreed to change its name to the Contact Group on Illicit Maritime Activities and address other emerging maritime threats facing the region and enhance international\, regional and commercial cooperation.
